Another option could be to use an electrode welder and use a high tensile electrode for the job, but I still tend to think that it won't be a success. After all there is a lot of tension and stress on the blade.
Brgds JonasJonas Jensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07787393233185454227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3111753163359491070.post-26033191819927514492015-04-20T11:12:31.568-07:002015-04-20T11:12:31.568-07:00I didn't realize how large the blades were! I have very little experience with welding, but I have to agree with you that the weld may not be strong enough to hold up to that type of sawing.
Billconfusedwoodworker@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07388390480569098626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3111753163359491070.post-89408270628757193072015-04-19T07:54:37.634-07:002015-04-19T07:54:37.634-07:00Hello Sylvain

I hadn't even thought of that.
Card scrapers might be a bit too heavy if they were made out of that blade. I think the thickness is around 2 mm, or 3/32". But on the other hand, it could be fun to try making some heavy duty ones.
Brgds
JonasJonas Jensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07787393233185454227noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3111753163359491070.post-39689835501742453082015-04-17T16:32:43.285-07:002015-04-17T16:32:43.285-07:00Hate to hear about the broken blade.
